In front of the museum, an enormous elephant facing downwards, the artist Miquel Barceló welcomes us. Caixa Forum is a cultural centre built on the premises of the old modernist factory Casaramona, a work by Josep Puig i Cadafalch.
For some years now, the cultural centre managed by "la Caixa" has been offering exhibitions by leading artists such as Dalí and Cartier-Bresson, along with a constant schedule of temporary exhibitions. The National Art Museum of Catalonia is one of the most important museums in Barcelona. The renowned MNAC is housed on the walls of the National Palace presided over by the Montjuïc fountains.
Inside you will find rooms dedicated to works of Romanesque and Gothic, Renaissance and Baroque and a collection of modernist and avant-garde works of the late nineteenth and early twentieth century. Visit the museum and all the infrastructure that surrounds it, Montjuïc is a fabulous place!
